OAKLAND, California-- Si Stephen Curry ay mayroon nang dalawang NBA MVPs, nagtala ng single-season 3-point record, kumuha ng dalawang NBA championships.
Hindi na niya kailangan ang Finals MVP, ngunit mas gusto niya ang NBA title.
Maaaring makalaban ni Curry si Golden State teammate Kevin Durant para sa series MVP kung saan hawak ng Warriors ang 3-0 abante laban kay LeBron James at sa Cleveland Cavaliers.
“It took to the second question of my first media availability, so I’m pretty sure that narrative’s going to take life, as it has since 2015,” wika ni Curry. “But it doesn’t make or break my career or whatever you want to say looking back. If we win this championship and I don’t win finals MVP, I’m going to be smiling just as wide and just as big.”
Kung mauungusan niya si Durant ay maisasama ang pangalan ni Curry kina James, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, Moses Malone at Tim Duncan bilang mga players na nagwagi ng dalawa o higit pang NBA MVPs at finals MVP.
“It’s part of my motivation to try to get back to this stage because I want more championships,” ani Curry.
Alam ng undersized point guard mula sa Davidson ang kanyang halaga sa prangkisa sa special four-year stretch.
At ito na ang pinakamahirap na season ni Curry isama na ang mga losing seasons sa kaagahan ng kanyang career na tinampukan ng multiple injuries niya.
Hindi rin consistent ang three-point shooting ni Curry sa NBA Finals.
Tumipa si Curry ng 0-for-9 clip sa panalo ng Warriors laban sa Cavaliers sa Game Three matapos maglista ng finals-record na siyam na triples sa Game Two.
“I’m going to play aggressively, confidently, with that right energy and motivation to help my team win,” wika ni Curry.
Sa paglabas ni Curry sa court na may 11 points mula sa malamyang 3-for-16 shooting sa 110-102 panalo ng Golden State laban sa Cleveland ay inakbayan siya ni Andre Iguodala at binulungan. “He was telling me what he’s going to order at our team dinner tonight, and I agree with his choices,” ani Curry.
