MVP/Meralco nat’l taekwondo team sisipa sa ASEAN tourney

MANILA, Philippines - Magpapadala ng ma­la­­king delegasyon ang Pilipinas para lumahok sa 12th ASEAN Taekwondo Federation championships mula Abril 23 hanggang 28 sa Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Suportado ng Meralco at MVP Sports Foundation, ang delegasyon ay bubuuin ng 10 senior pla­yers na sasali sa kyorigu (free sparring) bukod pa sa 20 junior men at women, 15 Cadet boys at  girls at 20 sa poomsae (form).

Sina Jenar Torillos Wa­sher Rasad, Enrique Ed­gardo Mora, Lorenz Cha­vez, Eddtone Bobb Lumasac (men), Irene Therese Bermejo, Ronnielette Ba­lancio, Shiryl Badol, Camille Anne Bonji at Clouie Bolinas (women) ang bubuo sa senior team na hahawakan ni Igor Mella.

Ang iba pang opis­yales na kasama ay sina John Paul Lizardo, senior men’s coach; Dindo Simpao, junior men’s coach: Napoleon Dagdagan Jr., women’s coach; Alvin Taraya, Cadets boys coach; Dax Alberto Morfe, Cadet girls coach; Jean Pierre Sabido, poomsae men’s coach; Rani Ann Ortega, poomsae women’s coach; at Jaime Robianes at Jose Florante Santiago, international referees.

Sampung bansa ang kasali at kabilang dito ang Indonesia, Malaysia,Vietnam at Myanmar na katunggali ng Pilipinas sa SEA Games sa Singapore.
