Painters titiyakin ang magandang panalo sa Pasko vs Mixers

MANILA, Philippines - Ang panalo sa Araw ng Pasko ang gustong ma­ging regalo ng mga Elasto Painters laban sa Mixers sa kanilang paghaharap bukas sa Game Three ng kanilang best-of-seven semifinals series para sa 2012-2013 PBA Philippine Cup sa SM MOA Arena sa Pasay City.

“We’ll get set on a Christmas Day game,” sabi ni Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao matapos ang kanilang 82-106 kabiguan sa San Mig Coffee ni mentor Tim Cone sa Game Two noong Biyernes na nagtabla sa kanilang serye sa 1-1.

Nauna nang binigo ng Elasto Painters ang Mixers, 91-83, sa Game One noong nakaraang Miyerkules.

Sa Game Two, pinansin ni Guiao ang sinasabi niyang malamyang tawagan ng mga referees na siyang dahilan ng pagkawala ng ‘focus’ ng Rain or Shine, nagkampeon sa nakaraang PBA Governors Cup.

“I guess we just got frustrated with the calls and we felt that they were allowing too much contact against us while we couldn’t defend them with the same amount of contact that they were giving us,” wika ni Guiao, napatalsik sa gitna ng fourth period mula sa kanyang ikalawang technical foul.

Sa pagtabla ng Mixers sa serye, tumipa si two-time PBA Most Valuable Player James Yap ng game-high 34 points kung saan ang 16 dito ay kanyang iniskor sa third quarter.
