MANILA, Philippines - Ginamit ni unified world super bantamweight champion Nonito ‘The Filipino Flash’ Donaire, Jr. ang kanyang Twitter account para damayan si AJ ‘Bazooka’ Banal matapos mapabagsak ni Pungluang Sor Singyu ng Thailand sa ninth round noong Sabado ng gabi sa SM MOA Arena sa Pasay City.
“The one that can show all of them and be the best role model is the lone loss of the night – AJ Banal,” wika ni Donaire sa kanyang Twitter.
Tinalo ni Singyu si Banal para sa bakanteng World Boxing Organization (WBO) bantamweight crown.
“Yes, he cried. Losing hurts. I think it hurts more in boxing because you put your body out there and you can push it to extremes,” dagdag pa ng tubong Talibon, Bohol na nakabase ngayon sa San Leandro, California.
Ayon kay Donaire, may mapupulot na aral sa nangyaring kabiguan ng 24-anyos na Cebuano fighter.
“But amongst the wins, AJ’s loss can serve as a learning lesson to not just himself but to other aspiring fighters out there,” ani Donaire.
Inihalimbawa ni Donaire ang kanyang sarili at si Filipino world eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao na matapos matalo ay bumangon at nagpanalo.
“Mannys lost, I’ve lost. Anyone can lose, but only the strong can come back. Hoping you come back stronger AJ,” sabi ni Donaire.
