MANILA, Philippines — Sinalakay ng pinagsanib na pwersa ng Southern Police District (SPD), National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) at Food and Drug Authority (FDA) ang isang bodega na iligal na nagbebenta ng hindi rehistradong food products, sa Taguig City, nitong Miyerkules.

Nasamsam ang mahigit sa ?3.2-M halaga ng luncheon meat sa bisa ng search warrant na inisyu ni Presiding Judge Mariam Bien, Regional Trial Court Branch 153, Taguig.

Sa ulat, pinangunahan  ng SPD-District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) ang operasyon kasama ang District Intelligence Division, Naval Intelligence Security Group-NCR, Sub Station-2 Taguig City Police Station, at mga kinatawan ng Field Regulatory Ope­rations Office (FROO) at Regulatory Enforcement Unit (REU) ng FDA, ang raid ala-1:30 ng hapon ng sa isang bodega sa loob ng Veterans ­Center, ­
sa Taguig.

Inaresto ang may-ari ng bodega na si alyas Angelica, 29 at alyas Kristine, 44, cashier/secretary; alyas Mhar, 33, bodegero; at alyas Joey, 41.

Nasamsam ang 1,355 kahon ng hindi rehistradong luncheon meat na nasa ?3,252,000.00 market price.

Mahaharap sa reklamong paglabag sa Section 11 ng Republic Act 9711 (FDA Law).

Kaugnay sa “Oplan Katharos” ng FDA, nilabag din ng establisye­mento ang opera­ting without a License to Operate, possession and selling of unre­gistered food products.
