MANILA, Philippines — Heavy to intense rains are forecast today in the Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas due to the effects of the shear line, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Camarines Sur will experience heavy rains until Saturday.

Moderate to heavy rains are anticipated today in Camarines Norte, Masbate, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, Samar, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte.

Quezon, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon and Marinduque will experience moderate to heavy rains on Saturday.

Landslides are expected in moderate to highly susceptible locations.

Some domestic flights were canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

Two Cebu Pacific flights at Virac Airport were canceled, with 311 passengers affected.

Two Cebgo flights at Naga Airport were also canceled, affecting 132 travelers.

Masbate Airport has reported one canceled Cebgo flight. – Rudy Santos
