'Goring' nag-iwan ng P375-M halagang pinsala sa agrikultura

MANILA, Philippines — Daan-daang pisong halaga pinsala na ang itinamo ng nagdaang Super Typhoon Goring sa mga pananim at kabuuang sektor ng agrikultura, ayon sa huling taya ng Department of Agriculture.

Ibinahagi ito ng DA, Huwebes, matapos makalabas ng bagyo mula sa Philippine area of responsibility.

"[D]amage and losses have been reported amounting to P375.0 million (M) affecting 8,483 farmers, with volume of production loss at 15,856 metric tons (MT) and 16,145 hectares (ha) of agricultural areas," wika ng kagawaran.

"Affected commodities include rice, corn, and high value crops."

 

 

Ang mga datos ay batay sa pagtatasa ng DA Regional Field Offices sa Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, CALABARZON at Western Visayas.

Tinitignan na ngayon ng DA ang iba't ibang klase ng ayuda gaya ng:

  • P100 milyong halaga ng bigas, mais at sari-saring binhi ng gulay
  • gamot para sa mga hayop
  • quick response funds para sa rehabilitasyon ng apektadong lugar

Higit 305,000 katao apektado

Samantala, umabot na sa 305,481 katao ang naaapektuhan ng naturang sama ng panahon sa ngayon kabilang ang sumusunod:

  • nawawala: 1
  • napalikas: 68,723
  • nasa loob ng evacuation centers: 38,021
  • nasa labas ng evacuation centers: 30,702

Ang mga naturang bilang ay nanggaling sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council ngayong araw.

Sa kabutihang palad, wala pa namang naitatalang patay at sugatan buhat ng bagyo.

Una nang nakapagtala ng sari-saring insidente ng pagbaha, pagguho ng lupa, pagtumba ng mga punto, buhawi, atbp. buhat ng sama ng panahon.

"A total of 247 damaged houses are reported in Region 1, Region 2, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Region 6, CAR," sabi pa ng NDRRMC kanina.

"The estimated cost of damage to infrastructure amounting to P41,175,000 was reported in Region 2, MIMAROPA, Region 6, CAR."
