MANILA, Philippines — Sinibak na sa puwesto ang apat na senior officers ng Philippine National Police (PNP) kabilang ang isang heneral kaugnay ng nawawalang P60 milyong daily allowance ng Special Action Force (SAF) troopers.

“Effective today (Martes), they are relieved of their posts due to the case they are facing, the case is now with the Office of the Ombudsman,” pahayag ni PNP Spokesman P/Chief Supt. John Bulalacao kahapon.

Ito’y matapos na pormal ng magsampa ng kaso nitong Biyernes ng nakalipas na linggo sa tanggapan ng Ombudsman ang ilang mga opis­yal ng SAF laban sa kanilang dating pinuno na si dating PNP SAF Chief P/ Director Benjamin Lusad.

Bukod kay Lusad na ngayo’y chief ng Directo­rate for Integrated Operations sa Southern Luzon, sinibak din sina Senior Supt. Andre Dizon, head ng Administration and Research Management Division ng DIPO-Southern Luzon; SPO2 Mila Bustamante at SPO1 James Irica.

Si Dizon ang dating Budget officer noong si Lusad ang kasalukuyang SAF director nang magpalabas ang gobyerno ng karagdagang subsistence allowance para sa libong SAF commandos.

Samantala sina Bustamante at Irica naman ay dating nakatalaga sa Finance office ng SAF.

Sa plunder at malversation complaints na isinampa sa Military and Other Law Enforcement Offices (MOLEO) sa Ombudsman, lumalabas na kabuuang P59.8 million ang budget na nawala umano sa SAF mula Ene­ro 2016 hanggang Dis­yembre 2017.

Inihayag naman ni outgoing PNP Chief Ronald dela Rosa na hawak na ng Ombudsman ang kaso at kung talagang may kasalanan ang nasabing mga opisyal ay dapat managot ang guilty.

Ikinalungkot din ni dela Rosa ang pangyayari lalo na aniya at upper class niya si Lusad sa Philippine Military Academy.
