YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Unlike his dating ka-love team, Jolina Magdangal who is happily married to singer Mark Escueta and with whom she has a son, Marvin Agustin has remained single to date.

But Marvin is a parent too, now. In fact, his twin sons (mother: Tetet Dy), Sebastian and Santiago, are now eight years old.

As Marvin said: “Ewan but I’m perfectly satisfied just having the two of them in my life.

“Sila ang dahilan why I’m working hard. Gusto kong maibigay sa kanila ang buhay na ’di ko kinagisnan.

“Bata pa ako, tumutulong na ako sa mother ko ng pagtitinda ng kung anu-ano, basta sigurado lang kaming magkaroon ng pagkaing mag-anak.”

He worked as waiter in a restaurant in Morato. And that’s how probably his desire to turn restaurateur emanated.

To date, Marvin owns several restaurants not only in Metro Manila but in nearby provinces. Of course, he cautioned us na may mga kasosyo siya.

Right now, excited si Marvin with the upcoming airing of his series, Flor de Liza, which reunites him with Jolina. Directed by Wenn Deramas, both play matured roles na. “Kaya may mga kissing scene sila sa ilang eksena nila,” Direk Wenn related. “Na tiyak kong kikiliti sa kanilang fans, na hanggang ngayon ay nag-e-exist pa pala.”

Flor de Liza will start airing January 19 right after the noontime show, Showtime.

Guess who are reunited too, in Flor de Liza?

Well, Elizabeth Oropesa and Tetchie Agbayani na both namayagpag in the 70s and early 80s as the two sexiest stars of their generation.

In Flor de Liza, Elizabeth plays Mom to Desiree del Valle, the other leading lady in Flor de Liza, maliban kay Jolina.

The two ladies of course are in the movies and TV series like Flor de Liza, only occasionally.

“Priority ko ang role na gagampanan ko,” ani Elizabeth. “The more challenging it is, the better come on it is for me to accept the project.”

“Same here,” sabi rin ni Tetchie. “Kasi, aaminin ko, hinahanap din ng katawan ko ang paminsan-minsang pagharap sa camera.

“Sabi nga, once a star, you will always be one.”

Like Marvin, the two are now engaged in other profession. Which keep both busy.

Elizabeth is now a proclaimed healer. But she makes it a point, according to Elizabeth, not to turn down a patient.

And obviously nga raw, kaya maraming nagpupunta sa kanyang healing clinic, dahil, wika nga, she delivers.

Tetchie, on the other hand, is a professor at a Catholic university in Quezon City.

“I made sure that I finished a course in college when I semi-retired in showbiz,” ani Tetchie.

It’s common knowledge that Tetchie did try to make it in Hollywood. She had the chance to do some foreign movies. But discovered in the end, that life abroad, especially penetrating Hollywood is not easy. Especially kung hindi ka destined for it.

“Which I guess I was not,” ani Tetchie with a sigh.

Tetchie lives with a daughter who is still single. Elizabeth is Mom to two boys, one of them married na.

Kaso, bago pa man daw siya magka-apo sa anak na si Great, the son who got married, naghiwalay ito at ang kanyang asawa.

Henry, the elder of the two boys, is single and a doctor.

Well, playing the title role in Flor de Liza ay hindi si Jolina nor Desiree, but two young child talents who are both very promising, ani Direk Wenn.

They are Rhed Bustamante at Ashley Sarmiento.

They have both appeared in numerous projects, both for TV and the movies. Pero ngayon lang sila magbibida.
