Angelica mas madalas nang kasama si Gerald!

Asked to come up with a ‘pick-up’ line at the presscon of the sitcom, Home Sweetie Home, starring John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga, we blurted: “Lloydie (John Lloyd’s pet name), Toni, candies ba kayo?”

“Oo, bakit ho?” the two shot back.

Well, like candies, sweetie, sweetie home, sweetie home kayo.

Corny man pakinggan ang pick-up line, well, we got a prize for it. Actually, not just from Lloydie and Toni and the entire cast of Home Sweetie Home, such as Rico J. Puno, Sandy Andolong, Jayson Gainza, teenage actress Miles Ocampo and child actor, Clarence Delgado, but the stars of the Kapamilya Network’s comedy shows din, Banana Split, Extra Scoop, Banana Nite, Luv U, and Goin’ Bulilit, galing ang prize.

The last three shows, all conceptualized by former actor Edgar Mortiz, Goin’ Bulilit, Banana Split and Luv U, will all be celebrating their anniversaries ngayong buwan ng Pebrero.

Goin’ Bulilit has been on the air for nine years; ang Luv U naman, two years. Banana Nite, which still has to complete its first year anniversary ngayong buwan.

Home Sweetie Home, directed by Direk Edgar, has been on the air for only a month, pero it’s doing the ratings na!

As a treat to its viewers, the shows promise to bring more laughs, which the entire family will enjoy.

Well, congrats too, kay Linggit Tan-Marasigan, now the Business Unit head of all the Kapamilya comedy shows. Samantalang si Cynthia Jordan naman ang Production manager of all shows mentioned.

Angelica si Gerald ang ‘bago’

At the presscon, specifically for Banana Split and Banana Nite, tinanong namin ang pambatong lead star na si Angelica Panganiban, why lately, we seldom see her in the two shows.

Pabiro, ang sagot niya, ‘di raw kasi siya naabisuhan.

Well, the real reason, we think, but Angelica chose not to articulate, na she’s currently doing a yet untitled flick kasama si Gerald Anderson for Star Ci­nema.

In the same presscon, binanggit din ni Angelica, choice raw nila ni Lloydie na boyfriend niya in real life, not to do a project together. Mapa-movies man o mapa-TV.

Like Angelica, Lloydie will be doing a movie too, aside from Home Sweetie Home, kasama sina Jessy Mendiola, Dawn Zulueta, at Richard Gomez.

Ihaw Na! ni Jayson, tuloy pa ring mapapanuod

Sa nabanggit na presscon din for Banana Nite and Banana Split, tinanong namin si Direk Edgar if kasabay ng ‘pagkawala’ ng portion ni Boy Abunda, Ikaw Na!, sa late newscast ng ABS-CBN ay “matetepok” na rin ang Ihaw Na, a direct spoof of Boy Abunda’s Ikaw Na, with Jayson acting the role of Boy A.

“Hindi pa siguro. Although eventually, we might create a spoof of Boy’s new show with Kris (Aquino), A & A Tonight,” paliwanag ni Direk Edgar.

Pagkatapos ng Hong Kong, Goin’ Bulilit sa Japan naman magpapatawa

Now going to Goin’ Bulilit, guess where its young cast will go next for an out-of-the-country taping?

So far, the group has been to Hong Kong, kung saan ang mga bagets ay ‘nakapag-explore’, especially the Hong Kong Disneyland.

“Japan naman this time.” pahayag ng Goin’ Bulilit director na si Frasco Santos-Mortiz.

Kasama ni direk Frasco ang kanyang younger brother na si Benjie, in direc­ting the show, who is also a mainstay of Banana Split and Banana Nite, bilang comedian.

Direk Frasco admits he is still reeling from the success of his movie, Pagpag, Siyam na Buhay, a Metro Manila Filmfest (MMFF) entry, starring Kathlyn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
