The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) said that there were 556 crash incidents of e-bikes in Metro Manila in 2023.

MANILA, Philippines — Simula na sa Abril 15 ang pagbabawal o pag-ban sa mga e-bikes, e-trikes, at tricycles sa mga national roads sa National Capital Region (NCR).

Mismong si Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Romando Artes ang nagkumpirma nito sa isang pulong balitaan kahapon.

Aniya,hindi naman pagbabawalan ang mga naturang behikulo na lumabas ngunit hindi lamang sila maaaring dumaan sa mga national roads, kung saan hindi naman talaga sila nararapat.

Kabilang sa mga national roads na hindi maaaring daanan ay ang R1: Roxas Boulevard; R2: Taft Avenue; R3: SLEX; R4: Shaw Boulevard; R5: Ortigas Avenue; Ro: Magsaysay Blvd/Aurora Blvd.; R7: Quezon Ave./ Commonwealth Ave.; R8: A. Bonifacio Avenue; R9: Rizal Avenue; R10: Del Pan/Marcos Highway/McArthur Highway; C1: Recto Avenue; C2: Pres. Quirino Avenue; C3: Araneta Avenue; C4: Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue; C5: Katipunan/C.P. Garcia; C6: Southeast Metro Manila Expressway; Elliptical Road; Minda­nao Ave­nue; at Marcos Highway.
