15 pampaganda may halong mercury
MANILA, Philippines — Binalaan ng Eco- Waste Coalition ang publiko sa mga facial cream na naglalaman ng mercury at nabebenta sa kasalukuyan.
Ayon sa EcoWaste Coalition, 15 cosmetic products ang nabibili sa halagang P100 hanggang P250 kada isa mula Disyembre 8 sa Maynila, Parañaque, at Pasay.
“We did our latest test purchase to draw attention to the urgency of effectively enforcing the mercury ban in cosmetics in the ASEAN region and across the world,” lahad ni Thony Dizon, Chemical Safety Campaigner, EcoWaste Coalition.
“Despite the global ban on their manufacture, import or export, unscrupulous traders continue to bring in mercury-containing whitening and anti-aging creams from abroad, especially from China and Pakistan, which are also sold in online shopping platforms.”
