Isa sa paboritong manalo si Ronald Oranza ng Standard Insurance Philippines sa Tour of Luzon ‘Great Revival’ edition na papadyak sa Abril 24.

MANILA, Philippines — Magiging palakasan ng katawan at patibayan ng puso ang darating na “Great Revival” ng Tour of Luzon na papadyak sa Abril 24.

Ito ang sinabi kahapon ni Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) Chief Regulatory Officer Arrey Perez.

“Eight stages of technical riding among cyclists and their respective teams,” sabi ni Perez sa event na inihahandog ng MPTC at inorganisa ng DuckWorld PH katuwang ang Cignal TV bilang Official Media Partner.

May 17 teams na binubuo ng pitong cyclist kada team ang sasabak sa 1,074.90 kilometer Tour of Luzon na magsisimula sa 190.70-km Paoay-Paoay Stage 1.

Sunod na sasalang ang mga kalahok sa 68.39-km Paoay-Vigan team time trial Stage 2 kasunod ang 130.33-km Vigan-San Juan Stage 3, 162.97-km Agoo-Clark Stage 4, 166.65 Clark-Clark (via New Clark City) Stage 5, 168.19 Clark-Lingayen Stage 6, 15.14-km individual time trial Labrador-Lingayen Stage 7 at ang queen Stage 8 na may 172.53-km mula Lingayen hanggang Camp John Hay sa Baguio City.

“From start to finish, from Stage 1 to the queen final Stage 8 in Camp John Hay, it will not only be a race about who’s the strongest, but also about who’s the smartest,” ani DuckWorld PH president Patrick ‘Pato’ Gregorio.

Tumataginting na P1 milyon ang nakalaan para sa champion team habang P500,000 naman sa  individual champion.

Hahataw ang 7-Ele­ven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines, Standard Insurance Philippines, Go For Gold Philippines, Victoria Sports Pro Cycling Team, Philippines Under-23-Tom N Toms Coffee, Excellent Noodles, DReyna Orion Cement, Dandez T-Prime Cycling Team, Exodus Army, MPT Drive Hub Cycling Team, 1 Team Visayas, One Cycling Min­danao at Team Pangasinan.

Masisilayan din ang foreign teams na CCN Factory HK (Hong Kong), Malaysia Pro Cycling, Bryton Racing Team (Taiwan) at Gapyeong Cycling Team (South Korea).
