Alas Pilipinas players ‘di pa lalaro sa PVL

MANILA, Philippines — Patuloy na hindi mag­lalaro ang mga Alas Pi­lipinas players para sa ka­nilang mga Premier Volleyball League (PVL) mother teams sa kabuuan ng 2024 Reinforced Con­fe­rence.

Maaari rin itong magtagal hanggang sa two-week Invitational Confe­rence sa Setyembre.

Pinaghahandaan ng mga Pinay spikers ang 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games sa Thailand sa Disyembre ng 2025.

“Technically, they’ll be released by September 15. But by then, the season will be over, so their next appearance in the PVL will likely be in the All-Filipino Conference, which I think will start by November,” ani Philip­pine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) na­tional team chairman Ricky Palau.

Ang mga Alas Pilipi­nas members na hindi naglalaro sa kanilang mga PVL teams ay sina Si­si Rondina at Cherry Nu­nag ng Choco Mucho, Eya Laure at Jen Nierva ng Chery Tiggo at Jema Ga­lanza ng Creamline.

Ang iba pang mga mi­yembro ng national team ay sina Fifi Sharma at Faith Nisperos ng Akari, Dawn Catindig at Vanie Gandler ng Cignal HD at Dell Palomata ng PLDT.

Nasa tropa rin sina Thea Gagate ng ZUS Coffee at Julia Coronel ng Ga­leries Tower.

Si Gagate ang No. 1 overall pick ng kauna-unahang PVL Rookie Draft, habang No. 3 selection si Coronel.

Unang isinabak ang mga Pinay spikers sa 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Wo­men noong Mayo sa Ri­zal Memorial Coliseum.

Inangkin ng koponan ni Brazilian coach Jorge De Brito ang kauna-una­hang bronze medal ng ban­sa sa nasabing torneo.

Samantala, muling pu­mirma ng kontrata si Alas Pilipinas team captain at setter Jia De Guzman sa Denso Airybees sa Japan V.League Division I.
