PSC idaraos ang karate meet sa Sept. 27 sa Lapu-Lapu City
MANILA, Philippines — Isasagawa ng Philippine Sports Commission sa pakikipagtambal sa Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation, Inc. at Department of Tourism Region 7 ang 7th Karatedo Goju-kai Asia Pacific Championship sa Lapu-Lapu City sa Setyembre 27 hanggang Oktubre 1.
Gagawin ang torneo sa Hoops Dome, Lapu-Lapu City kung saan higit sa 700 atleta mula sa 26 Asian countries, kasama rito ang Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia at Korea, ang lalahok.
“As part of the PSC’s campaign in spreading sports all over the country, we are honored to partner with City Mayor Jonard Chan and the local government of Lapu-Lapu City to host this international event in Cebu,” ani PSC Commissioner Ramon Fernandez matapos ang kanilang pulong ni Karate Pilipinas president Ricky Lim noong Lunes.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Mayor Chan ang PSC at ang Karate Pilipina.
“This is a great development in promoting sports tourism not just in Cebu, but for the whole country. Lapu-Lapu City is ready to welcome and accommodate our asian countries all throughout the games,” sabi ni Mayor Chan.
Ang nasabing three-day competition ay magsisilbi ring test event para sa karatedo national team na sasabak sa darating na 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Isasagawa rin ang technical seminar para sa mga coaches at trainers sa huling araw ng event.
