Deserving ako--Eze
MANILA, Philippines — Sumama ang loob ni Prince Eze ng Perpetual Help nang i-boo siya ng mga fans ni CJ Perez ng Lyceum of the Philippines University nang tanggapin nito ang Season 94 NCAA MVP trophy kahapon.
“I won the MVP, if you think you are better, come and get it,” sabi ng emosyunal na si Eze na may apat na tropeong natanggap matapos mapasama rin sa Mythical Team, tanghaling Defensive Player of the Year at mapasama rin sa Defensive Team.
Na-disqualify si Perez, MVP winner noong nakaraang taon, na tumanggap ng anumang individual award matapos masuspindi ng isang laro na kanyang isinilbi sa Game One matapos mabigong ipaalam sa liga na mag-a-apply siya sa PBA draft.
Ngunit si Eze ang may hawak ng mas magandang Player All-Around Value sa kanyang 61.39 kumpara sa 58.28 ni Perez.
Kasama ni Eze sa Mythical squad sina Bong Quinto ng Letran, Robert Bolick, Javee Mocon at Donald Tankoua ng San Beda.
Si Joel Cagulangan ng St. Benilde-La Salle Greenhills ang napilingjuniors MVP.
“CJ (Perez) was MVP last season, I could have been MVP last season but I didn’t get that because we didn’t make the Final Four and I had to work harder,” ani Eze. “Life is unfair.”
Ito ang ikaapat at final year ni Eze sa NCAA at sinabi niyang ang susunod niyang hakbang ay maka-graduate sa March bilang Marketing Management student.
“When I told my mom I’m MVP, she said when are you going to graduate. I told her that I’m going to study too and graduate, which I prefer more than the MVP award.
