Boring ang laban kung tatakbo nang tatakbo si Bradley -- Roach

MANILA, Philippines - Kung tatakbuhan ni Timothy Bradley, Jr. si Manny Pacquiao ay muli itong magiging isang nakakaantok na laban.

Ito ang pahayag ni Freddie Roach, ang chief trainer ni Pacquiao, sa panayam ng Sweet Science kaugnay sa rematch ng Filipino world eight-division champion at ng World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight king na si Bradley.

“If he runs the whole night long, then he’ll make it a little bit of a boring fight,” wika ni Roach sa 30-anyos na si Bradley. “But it’s hard to a win backing up so there will be points where he’ll have to exchange with us, and we’re going to have the advantage, I think.”

Bagama’t tinakbuhan si Pacquiao at limitado ang mga naging suntok ay naitakas pa rin ni Bradley ang kontrobersyal na split decision victory sa kanilang unang pagkikita noong Hunyo 9, 2012 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sa kanilang rematch sa Abril 12 sa MGM Grand ay pipilitin ni Pacquiao na mabawi kay Bradley ang inagaw nitong WBO belt, samantalang papatunayan naman ng American fighter na tunay ang kanyang pagkapanalo.

Umaasa si Roach na makikipagsaba-yan ang 30-anyos na si Bradley (31-0-0, 12 KOs) sa 35-anyos na si Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KOs) sa kanilang rematch.

“I hope he does press, because that’ll bring the best out of Manny,” wika ni Roach kay Bradley, naidepensa ang nasabing WBO title kontra kina Ruslan Provodnikov at Juan Manuel Marquez noong nakaraang taon.

Sa kabila ng nasabing mga panalo kina Provodnikov at Marquez, sinabi ni Roach na wala pa ring ipinagbago ang istilo ni Bradley.

“I don’t think he’s better, I think he’s the same guy,” wika ni Roach kay Bradley. “He’s a good boxer but sometimes he tends to get into a fight.”(RC)
