18-anyos na Fil-German player kinuha ng Azkals

MANILA, Philippines - Ipinatawag si Fil-German teener Mike Ott para maging bahagi ng Philippine men’s football team na may international friendly kontra sa Hong Kong sa June 4 sa Mong Kok Stadium sa Hong Kong.

Makakasama ng 18- anyos na si Ott, mainstay ng TSV 1860 Munchen, ang kanyang nakakatandang kapatid na si  Manny sa Azkals team kasama ang 16 pang internationa-lists para sa kanyang debut sa koponan.

“He’s just 18, I’m not really expecting much right now as he’s only trying to get his experience in the National team. But I think he’ll do well,” sabi ni Manny Ott na magbabalik sa team makaraang di makasama sa kampan-ya ng Azkals sa AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers noong March.

Karamihan sa bumuo ng kaponang nanguna sa group qualifiers at umusad sa 2014 Challenge Cup main tourney ay muling magkikita-kita sa HK game.

Kabilang na dito sina Stephan Schrock ng Bundesliga 1 club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, na inaasahang magbibigay buhay sa Azkals.

Bahagi rin ng koponan sina Javier Patiño, Neil Etheridge, Paul Mulders, Rob Gier, Juani Guirado, Phil at James Younghusband, Chieffy Caligdong, Ed Sacapaño, Marwin Angeles, Chris Greatwich, OJ Porteria, Jason de Jong, Jeff Christien at Carli de Murga.

Gagamitin ng Azkals ang friendly game na ito bilang bahagi ng kanilang buildup para sa susunod na Challenge Cup sa Maldives kung saan hangad nilang maduplika ang bronze medal finish noong 2012 edition.
