PLDT-ABAP NCR-Luzon lalarga na ngayon
IBA, Philippines – Si Zambales Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. mismo ang magwe-welcome sa kanilang lugar sa mga officials at participants mula sa iba’t ibang boxing clubs sa rehiyon sa pagbubukas ng PLDT-ABAP National Capital Region-Luzon Area tournament ngayon sa Capitol Grounds dito.
Kabilang sa mga naunang dumating ay ang delagasyon mula sa Tayabas, Rizal Technological University, Urdaneta, Laguna, Lucena at Olongapo.
“The NCR-Luzon tourney is the Amateur Boxing Association of the Philippines’ away of energizing the sport in this part of the country to help it be at par in interest and production with the Visayas and Min-danao,†sabi ni ABAP president Ricky Vargas.
Ang mga mananalo rito kasama ang mag-qualifiers mula sa iba pang regional competitions – Bago City (Visayas) at General Santos City (Mindanao) -- ay makakasama sa National Championships sa Feb. 17-23 sa Maasin, Southern Leyte.
“We are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the success of this tournament,†sabi naman ni ABAP executive director Ed Picson. “And Gov. Ebdane’s wholehearted support, along with that of his gobernatorial staff and the people of Iba, will come a long way in making this happen.â€
“We welcome all boxers and their coaches and trainers to our beloved province,†ani Ebdane, dating PNP chief and secretary of the Department of Public Works and Highways.
