BANGKOK - Ang makapaglaro sa Challenge Cup at pati sa Asian Cup.
Ito ang pangunahing target ni German coach Michael Weiss para sa Philippine Azkals sa susunod na dalawang taon.
“We're not yet at that stage where we can dominate an opponent. That should be the target for 2013 and 2014, in order to win the (AFC) Challenge Cup and go to the Asian Cup,” wika ni Weiss.
Ang Challenge Cup ay ang qualifying tournament para sa 2015 Asian Cup.
Nakakuha petition sa 2014.
Hangad ng Philippine Football Federation na pangasiwaan ang Challenge Cup.
“It still requires a lot of work. We need additional players, quality players. We need to focus on young ones in Phl. We need to build two national teams of locally-based players already, plus top players, especially center defenders. This is the procedure we're in now,” wika ni Weiss.
