Ruffa balik-Kapamilya, balik-‘GF’ ni John Lloyd!

When it comes to talents, especially those in showbiz, one can’t easily put one down. Especially if gifted talaga siya with talent.

Puwedeng for a time, mai-ignore siya. But after a while, she is given the chance to stage a comeback. And how!

More or less, ito ang nangyari kay Ruffa Gutierrez, who, for a time, was a contract talent of ABS-CBN but decided to try her luck in another channel – TV5.

The Kapatid gave her the necessary ‘‘boost.’’ But for one reason or another, their relationship obviously didn’t work. And Ruffa would rather not articulate.

As she insists, “It’s now all water under the bridge. I’ve somehow moved on. Thanks to ABS-CBN for allowing me the chance to join them anew.

“It’s good to be back.”

For her initial project for the network, which served as her ‘‘comeback” kumbaga, Ruffa was given a not so significant role in Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy which was the entry of Star Cinema in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) last year.

Ruffa felt she was in good company when she accepted the movie, as it starred, aside from Vice Ganda, a friend, Maricel Soriano, and Joey Marquez, among others.

“Parang girlfriend ni Joey ang role ko. Supposedly, asawa si Joey ni Maricel. Pero hiwalay sila.

‘‘Vice Ganda, who plays all four roles in the movie, ay anak nila,” pahayag ni Ruffa.

Although when the filmfest ended, adjudged top grosser was the Bossing Vic Sotto and Kris Aquino-starrer, ang My Little Bossings. It also featured child stars Ryzza Mae Dizon and Bimby Yap, Jr.

But in its overall total, dahil na-extend ang run ng Girl, Bakla…, lumamang ang kita nito.

In Home Sweetie Home, a sitcom starring John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga playing a newlywed couple, featured si Ruffa in a recurring role bilang supposedly ay ex-girlfriend ni John Lloyd.

At one time, we all know, nagkarelasyon sina Ruffa at John Lloyd.

‘‘But we are friends na lang ngayon,’’ susog ni Ruffa. ‘‘Alam nating sila na ngayon ni Angelica (Panganiban).”

Very recently, Star Cinema offered her a role in the Coco Martin-Sarah Geronimo movie.

‘‘Im not at liberty yet to describe my role in the movie,’’ paliwanag ni Ruffa. “Lalong ’di ko puwedeng banggitin ang role ko na ino-offer next ng Star Cinema as the next assignment ko. Basta they are both good roles. Kaya ’di puwedeng tanggihan.”

Friday, Bargn Farmaceutici Philippines Co. (BFPC) launched Ruffa as endorser of the company’s flagship product, Cosmo Skin L-Glutathione and Advance Skin Whitening.

‘‘Skincare mapa-artista man o hindi is very important for me to feel health and confident,” sabi ni Ruffa.

‘‘I have to admit I’m not getting any younger. Kaya the need for me to be conscious of my wrinkles, plus those uneven skin tone and dark sports. Kaya, I’m glad found an ally, wika nga, in Cosmo skin.”

Ruffa said Cosmo Skin, she now realizes, is the premier glutathione supplement. She’s glad, she added, she’s endorsing the product.

Ruffa, together with her parents Eddie Gutierrez and Annabelle Rama, plus siblings Raymond and Richard, and the rest of the family, left Friday evening for a 10-day cruise which will be part of their features sa kanilang upcoming reality show It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.
