The Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC), of which Angel Locsin is an active member/volunteer, recently adÂded another feather to her ‘charitable’ cap, when they again awarded her an important trophy in recognition of her outstanding service to the PRC mission.
Angel, as is common knowledge, without the corresponding publicity, went to several of the places afflicted by typhoon Yolanda. She brought with her several products, donated by some of her endorsements, such as Hapee toothpaste, Head and Shoulders shampoo and Mang Inasal products, which were distributed to victims of the disaster housed in charitable centers in Manila.
The award was formally presented to Angel during the 30th Biennial National Convention held last month sa Manila Hotel.
Meanwhile, if grinning from ear-to-ear ang mga ‘powers’ behind Angel’s current series, The Legal Wife, specially Malou Santos, whose Business Unit is producing it, her fellow executive producer, Des Tanwangco at si Sackey Prince, producer, ang dahilan ay because it’s not merely a top-rater, nagte-trending din ito sa Twitter.
Nagiging bukambibig din ang karamihan sa mga linyang binibitiwan ng mga artista ng project, lalo na ng kay Angel.
Pangatlo na itong Legal Wife sa series which Angel top-billed for ABS-CBN. The first two were Lobo and Immortal.
Mga baguhang writer dumaan kay Ricky Lee
Hindi man pala busy ang award-winning story and scriptwriter na si Ricky Lee writing stories and scripts for a TV series or moÂvies, busy naman siya organizing writing workshops.
Marami sa mga kilalang story and scriptwriters ngayon ang ‘dumaan’, kumbaga, sa kamay ni Ricky, bago sila pumalaot sa larangan.
In any case, may isa pala siyang script na sinulat for movie producer-lawyer Joji Alonzo. Ito raw ay biography ng isa sa itinuring na brilliant directors, for both films at TV, ng kanyang panahon, si Direk Ishmael Bernal.
Atty. Joji has assigned direk Chris Martinez na mamahala ng pelikula.
Ellen Adarna napurnada kay Vhong
Sayang at napurnada, kung sabagay, only for the meantime, ang horror-suspense flick na pangungunahan sana ng baguhang si Ellen Adarna bilang leading lady. Si Vhong Navarro sana ang kanyang leading man.
The film would have been directed by Bb. Joyce Bernal.
But this doesn’t mean na “stagnant†si Ellen at the moment. May series siyang kasalukuyang ginagawa, Moon of Desire, co-starring her with Meg Imperial and JC de Vera.
Senior actress Perla Bautista who is cast in the movie ay nagsabing both Ellen and Meg as very promising. In the case of JC, hindi na raw siya surprised na magaling ito. Naging both contract talent nga naman si JC ng GMA 7 at TV5.
As a new contract star ng ABS-CBN, JC is cast, too, as a frustrated lover to Angel Locsin in the series, The Legal Wife. Earlier, he was in the cast of Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, which had Vice Ganda playing all four roles.
