Coaches ng The Voice, magkakanya-kanya ng diskarte
Finally, pormal nang ipinakikilala na ng ABS-CBN ang uupong coaches in their upcoming reality show The Voice of the Philippines na nakatakda nang magsimula ngayong Hunyo. Ewan kung hindi kayo mayayanig sa paghanga sa kanilang credentials. After all, we all know they are royalties in their respective niche.
Indeed, consider Sarah Geronimo, the crowned Pop Princess and currently, the undisputed Box-Office Queen, thanks to her still showing blockbuster film, It Takes a Man and a Woman with John Lloyd Cruz. As of this writing, it is said to have earned more than P300M. Sabi nga ng isang taga-Viva Films at Star Cinema na co-producers, baka mahigitan sa kita ng pelikula ang Sisterakas which was last year’s top grosser in the yearly Metro Manila Film Festival.
Then, of course, coach din si Bamboo, ang itinuturing na Rock Superstar ng ating panahon. Ganun din ang Broadway star na si Lea Salonga, na hindi basta-basta napapapayag maging judge lalo’t ng isang reality show na may kinalaman sa pag-awit o pagganap, if it’s not really worth it. And si apl.de.ap, the international hiphop sensation.
‘‘They are a dream team as coaches for the show,’’ anang Multimedia Queen na si Toni Gonzaga, whom ABS-CBN tapped to host the show with former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) housemate, Robbie Domingo, who will act naman as social media correspondent.
The reality show, according to Alou Almaden, business unit head of the production, has a unique format as hopeful contestants will submit to what is referred to as ‘‘blind auditions.’’ They will, after all, undergo the audition na umaawit on stage na ang mga coach ay nakatalikod sa kanila after facing against the wall.
Ang mga coach ang mamimili ng mga artist who will make up their individual team. They will evaluate their voices without them seeing the hopefuls and decide kung gugustuhin nilang maging mentor ito.
Kung halimbawang two coaches ang pumili sa isang hopeful, sa kanya naman ngayon ang pagkakataon, para mamili who between the two ang gugustuhin niyang kanyang magiging coach.
The Voice of the Philippines is adapted from the international reality show, produced by the Dutch-based Talpa Media Group. So far, maliban sa Pilipinas, it has been localized on TV in 40 countries the world over.
In the US, its version is hosted by Carlson Daly with Christine Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton bilang mga coach.
While waiting for The Voice to start, Lea revealed she has commitment for performances in the US and Japan.
She will make sure, though she said that when The Voice starts ay naka-focus lang ang atensiyon niya rito.
In the case of Sarah Geronimo, did we hear it right na, bukod sa nabanggit na reality show, magsisimula rin siya ng isang bagong show, isang weekly drama anthology?
apl.de.ap and Bamboo obviously have made themselves free from any other commitments duÂring the entire season of the show.
That is, of course, kung muling makakapag-conceptualize ng kasing tindi ng kuwento ng It Takes a Man and a Woman ang creative team ng Star CineÂma which co-produces nga the movie with Viva Films.
Like Sarah, John Lloyd will soon be busy as well. We heard that he might team up in a movie with Anne Curtis.
