President Marcos declares holidays in 5 areas
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has declared special non-working days in several municipalities to allow residents to participate in local celebrations.
Under Proclamation 1450, Sept. 28 is a special non-working day in Luna, Isabela for the commemoration of the town’s 77th founding anniversary.
Proclamation 1451 declared Sept. 29 a special non-working day in Argao, Cebu for the celebration of Araw ng Argao, while Proclamation 1452 declared Oct. 1 a special non-working day in Aborlan, Palawan for its town fiesta.
The Palace also declared Oct. 2 a special non-working day in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya under Proclamation 1453 in celebration of Solano Day.
Proclamation 1454 declared Oct. 5 a special non-working day in Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur to mark the town’s 142nd founding anniversary.
Executive Secretary Ralph Recto signed the proclamations on Sept. 24 by the authority of the President.
