George ibubuhos lahat para matulungan Celtics
BOSTON — Gagawin ni Paul George ang lahat ng kanyang makakaya para matulungan ang Celtics at si Jayson Tatum sa parating na 2026 NBA season.
Ito ang sinabi ni George sa introductory news conference kahapon kasama ang mga bagong hugot ding sina center Mitchell Robinson at point guard Mike Conley Jr.
“I think they’re getting, someone that’s ready to, not fill the shoes or fill the void of JB, but I think from a personal standpoint myself, I think I can come in and kind of still keep us in that contention. Give us a chance to win,” ani George.
Nakuha ng Boston si George sa kanilang trade sa Philadelphia noong Hulyo na nagdala kay 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown sa kampo ng 76ers.
“I understand my circumstances. I understand how huge JB was, not only for the organization, but here in the city. So, I didn’t take it personal,” ani George na lalaro sa kanyang pang-limang NBA team.
Inaasahang mabubuo ang tambalan nina George at Tatum sa Celtics.
Samantala, nanggaling si Robinson sa pagkopo sa nakaarang NBA championship kasama ng New York Knicks.
Maglalaro naman ang 38-anyos na si Conley sa kanyang ikaapat na NBA team para sa pagsabak niya sa ika-20 NBA season.
“It’s two guys who haven’t had a chance to win a championship,” ani Conley sa kawalan nila ni George ng NBA title. “So, it’s that sense of urgency that maybe reignites that for the guys who’ve been on this team, who’ve already won it.”
