PNP verifying names of Quiboloy’s Angels of Death

MANILA, Philippines —  Some members of Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Apollo Quiboloy’s Angels of Death, a group that he allegedly used to intimidate girls he sexually abused, are registered gun holders with the Firearms and Explosives Office (FEO) of the Philippine National Police.

Lt. Col. Eudisan Gultiano, the PNP Civil Security Group spokesperson, made the statement after she said they received a request from the Davao City police asking to verify the names of some people who are believed to be connected with the group.

“Some of the individuals in the list are licensed and the others don’t have records with the FEO,” she told reporters yesterday.

Gultiano could not give an exact number of people on the list, citing the investigation is still ongoing.

The Angels of Death was tagged as Quiboloy’s tool to threaten girls whom he sexually molested.

The next step is to investigate whether the people on the list have renewed their firearms licenses, noting they could face complaints for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.

Also included in their probe is if the alleged members of the group were involved in criminal activities.

“It could be a ground for revocation (of their firearms licenses),” Gultiano said.

Meanwhile, the PNP is reviewing the videos of interviews of some prominent personalities who were vocal in their statements that Quiboloy was not at the KOJC compound when in fact he was hiding in the 30-hectare property.

Asked if they will also include Vice President Sara Duterte, who said in an interview that Quiboloy is no longer in Davao, PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo said “all of those who spoke, all of the overt acts, all of the omissions.”

The police are preparing obstruction of justice charges against members who were shielding Quiboloy from arrest.
