“Siguro kailangang humingi tayo ng training program or training plans ng mga NSAs that has still athletes na puwedeng mag-qualify sa Olympics,” wika ni PSC Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Ramon Fernandez.

MANILA, Philippines — Hihingi ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ng training program sa mga National Sports Association (NSAs) na may mga atletang maaaring makapasok sa 2021 Olympic Games.

“Siguro kailangang humingi tayo ng training program or training plans ng mga NSAs that has still athletes na puwedeng mag-qualify sa Olympics,” wika ni PSC Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Ramon Fernandez.

“Kung paano nila gawin ‘yung training program nila taking into consideration ‘yung mga protocols that will be put in place by the IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force),” dagdag pa nito.

Ang mga nakakuha na ng 2021 Tokyo Olympic slot ay sina gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo, pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena at boxers Eumir Felix Marcial at Irish Magno.

Ipinagpaliban ang Tokyo Olympics, nauna nang itinakda sa Hulyo 24 hanggang Agosto 9 ngayong taon, sa 2021 bunga ng coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

Naghahangad din ng tiket sa Tokyo Games sina 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics silver medalist Hidilyn Diaz ng weightlifting, Fil-Japanese judoka Kiyomi Watanabe, skateboarder Margielyn Didal, world champion Nesthy Petecio ng boxing, taekwondo jin Pauline Lopez at karateka Junna Tsukii.

Umaasa ring makakapaglaro sa quadrennial event sina marathoner Mary Joy Tabal, 400m hurdler Eric Cray, pole vaulter Natalie Uy, sprinter Kristina Knott at William Morrison ng shot put.

“Just continue what they’re doing. Stay at home. Try to keep themselves in the best shape so that when all of this opens up, madali-dali na, konting adjustment na lang ang gagawin, ani Fernandez.
