Naka-gold sa Singapore Meet Mojdeh, Tom itinaas ang respeto ng Pinoy tankers

MANILA, Philippines – Dalawang ginto at dalawang pilak ang kinuha agad ng mga swimmers ng Phi­lippine Swimming League (PSL) sa pagsisimula ng 21st Singapore Open Invi­tational Midget Meet sa Singapore Swimming Club.

Sina Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh at Aubrey Tom ang mga kumuha ng ginto nang pangunahan ng una ang girls’ 9 years 25-m butterfly (15.97) habang ang huli ay namayagpag sa girls’ 8 years 25m butterfly (17.15).

Tinalo ni Mojdeh  ang mga Singaporeans na sina Kym Yong (17.03) at Wan Ni Tang (17.09) habang si Tom ay namayani kina Yan Yuang Chiang ng China (17.27) at Charlotte Mondry ng Singapore (17.90).

Ang dalawang pilak ay ibinigay nina Marc Bryan Dula at Rafael Lentejas III sa larangan ng boys’ 8 years 25m butterfly (17.23) at 7 years 25m butterfly (19.66)

Sa naitalang ito ng apat na tankers ay nahigitan na ng PSL ang naitalang isang ginto, isang pilak at isang bronze medals noong nakaraang taon.

“It’s a good start. We were able to meet our target after only the morning results of day one. We now try to go for more medals with our swimmers morale in high gear,” wika ni PSL president Susan Papa.

Ang iba pang swimmers na sasandalan para sa iba pang mga medalya ay sina Ethan Gabriel, Asha Segotier, Julyianna Calibjo, Khrystian Tan, Michael Samaniego, Rod Cuasay, Rodolf Rasay, Julia Basa, Chloe Laurente, Rex Dela Cruz Jr., Alexa Larrazabal, Amdre Dela Cruz, Mikyla Guzman, Tiffany Sanchez, Gian Banas, Morie Pabalan, Louise Famanilla, Venice Villarasa, John Bautista, Victor Cabrera, Chelsea Pastolero, Nicole Camacho, Janine Consul, Justin Badion, Allen Conda at Prince Angeles.
