Jeric kay Javillonar: ‘May araw ka rin!’

MANILA, Philippines - Hindi naitago ni Jeron Teng ng De La Salle University ang galit niya kay Jeoffrey Javillonar ng National University ukol sa pagkakalasap ng kanyang kuyang si Jeric Teng ng University of Sto. Tomas ng isang right shoulder injury noong Huwebes sa 76th season ng UAAP men’s basketball tournament.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Twitter account, sinabi ni Jeron na sinadya ni Javillonar ang pagbangga sa kanang balikat ni Jeric sa second period ng laro ng UST at NU kung saan nanalo ang huli, 71-67.

“I know it’s no accident. I’ve known him since RP youth days,” wika ni Jeron kay Javillonar.

Ayon kay Javillonar, hindi niya sinadya ang pagbangga sa kanang balikat ni Jeric sa isang rebound play sa second quarter ng kanilang laro.

Ngunit iba naman ang inisip ni Jeric.

“Kayo na lang mag-judge kung sinadya ‘yun,” sabi ni Jeric kay Javillonar. “Pero ang message ko sa kanya, may araw rin siya. ‘Yun ang message ko sa kanya. Sa kanya rin babalik ‘yun.”

Inaasahang hindi makakalaro si Jeric, nagtala ng average na 19.0 point per game ngayong season, sa laban ng Tigers sa Red Warriors.

Samantala, mariing binalaan ni UAAP Commissioner Chito Loyzaga si Javillonar kasabay ng pagpataw sa kanya ng isang ‘unsportsmanlike foul’ mula sa naunang itinawag na regular foul.

“After viewing the recorded game between University of Sto. Tomas (UST) and National University (NU) dated last July 10, 2013, we had observed that with 1:20 minute remaining in the 2nd quarter, you were seen pushing UST player Jeric Teng to the floor,” ani Loyzaga sa NU player.

“This memo serves as a warning. Any future foul of any similar stature will merit a one-game suspension,” dagdag pa ng UAAP Commissioner.
