After four grueling years in high school, my daughter Nicole finally marched into the stage to receive her diploma at the University of San Carlos-Basic Education Department South Campus where I am a perennial PTA and PTCA, Inc. board officer for nine years where I served three principals---Mrs. Rosalinda Gianggo, Mrs. Corazon P. Sasing and the incumbent Sr. Remedios Socorro D. Aunzo,SSpS. To me, I have outlived my usefulness as officer of both school-based association and despite of ups and downs during those tenure, I am proud to admit being a close-knit to the group I have mingled and associated with. Congrats Kul! I'm proud of you. Congrats too to the new lawyers from UC who were feted in a Thanksgiving ceremony last Wednesday at the Mayi Restaurant at the City Sports Club in Ayala. UC boast of 5 out of 10 topnotchers of the Mechanical Engineering board exams. The five topnotchers who received P/100 each from UC president Atty. Augusto W. Go are 4th placer Engr. Richard A. Anore, 5th placer Engr. Cabini A. Romarate, 6th placer Engr. Katherine N. Nadela, 9th placer Engr. Jeffrey s. Olofernes and 10th placer Engr. Jose Niel A. Salve. The proud Dean is Engr. Benedict Banquil. Our salute also to former UV Green Lancer star Harlow Villanil who is now also a full-fledged engineer. He played for UC high school and have played for one year as Webmaster before moving to UV.
