Pagsasanay sa Rizal sinimulan na ni Pacman

MANILA, Philippines - Maraming hindi nakakaalam na nagsimula na ng kanyang pagsasanay si Manny Pacquiao para sa kanilang ikatlong pagtatagpo ni Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez sa Nobyembre 12 sa MGM Grand sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lumitaw ang WBO wel­terweight champion sa Rizal Memorial Stadium nang walang nakakaalam para sa kanyang roadwork exercises.

Ito naman ay ikinagulat ng mga miyembro ng Philippine amateur boxing team na nagsasagawa naman ng kanilang mor­ning workout.

Nagtungo ang figh­ting congressman ng Sa­rangani na may ilang kasamang bodyguards at nag-ehersisyo na walang kasamang trainer.

Sinabi ni Roel Velasco, ang bronze medalist sa 1992 Barcelona Olympics at bahagi ngayon ng natio­nal coaching staff, na ilang takbo ang ginawa ni Pacquiao.

“He did not stay long but he was there doing some exercises. He came up to us and asked us how we were doing,” wika ni Velasco.

“He asked us how he can help the team, and said he was considering putting our amateur boxers in his te­levision game show,” sa­bi nito.

Sinabi ni Pacquiao na ga­gawin niya ang lahat para patunayan na siya ang tunay na nanalo sa ka­nilang dalawang beses na paghaharap nila ni Marquez noong 2004 at 2008.

Ayon naman sa kanyang chief trainer na si Freddie Roach, ang knockout ang kanilang gustong mangyari upang tuluyan nang mapatahimik si Marquez.

Hanggang ngayon ay kumbinsido ang 37-anyos na si Marquez na siya ang nanalo sa kanilang dala­wang ulit na pagtatagpo ng 32-anyos na si Pacquioao.

“He said he would start training by the second week of August although serious training starts the second week of September,” wika ni Franklin Gacal, ang legal counsel ni Pacquiao.
