2,000 runners gilauman modagan sa Backpack Family Run

CEBU, Philippines - Gilaumang moabot sa 2,000 runners ang mosalmot sa labing unang "Backpack Family Fun Run for a Cause" karong Marso 13 diha sa The Terraces sa Ayala Center-Cebu.

Gipasiugdahan sa Primer Group of Companies, Run For Sight Foundation, CEC Foundation, Rotary Club of Fuente ug World Vision Foundation, ang lumba magsilbe isip usa ka dakung fund raising project alang sa mga kabus nga tinun-an sa mga publikong tunghaan dinhi sa Sugbu.

Ang matigom nga salapi sa maong lumba   maoy gamiton aron makahatag og 500 limited edition backpacks uban ang school supplies ngadto sa Guba Elementary School ug laing 300 ka backpacks ngadto sa Subangdaku Elementary School.

Laing 1,000 ka mga backpacks usab ang ihatag ngadto sa Brigada Eskwela sa ABS-CBN ug Liloan adapted students sa World Vision Foundation Inc.

This is so different from the usual running events held in Cebu because there is less rigid competition in this race,î matud pa ni Boris Joaquin, Publics in Ministry Director sa World Vision. We will also let the children beneficiaries to run and mingle with the participants during the race.

Ang lumba naglatid sa 3K, 5K ug 15K categories, lakip na ang 300-meter dash.

Aron mabulokon ang maong kalihukan, ang actor/commercial model Derick Ramsey ug kanhi Ms. Universe runner-up Miriam Quimbao mosalmot isip guests of honor.

Ang registration fee nagkantidad og P450 alang sa 15k ug P350 alang sa 5k ug 3k races, samtang P200 alang sa 300m dash.
