Ang sixth-seeded na may ELO of 2527 ay nakatabla kina GM Merab Ga­gunashvili at David Elorta para sa fourth hanggang sixth places.

Nasa itaas naman si­na GM Anton Filippov ng Uzbekistan, GM Murtas Ka­zhgaleyev ng Kazakhstan at GM Tamaz Gelashvili ng Georgia san asabing US$30,000-tournament na inorganisa ng National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) katulong ang Philippine Sports Commission, Local Water Utilities Administration, PCSO at PAGCOR.

Nauna nang humugot ng draw si Gomez kay Lay­lo sa sixth round.

Tinalo naman ni Elorta si IM Oliver Dimakiling sa isang all-Filipino battle para sa kanyang tsansa sa US$6,000 top prize.

Nakipag-draw si Filip­pov kina Gelashvili at Ga­gunashvili sa sixth at se­­venth round para sa li­derato.
