Laban kay Mayweather, si Arum na ang bahalang umayos - Pacquiao

MANILA, Philippines - Ipinasasakamay na ni Manny Pacquiao kay Bob Arum ng Top Rank Promotions ang pagpupursige para sa pag­tatakda ng kanilang megafight ng maarteng si Floyd May­weather, Jr.

Ito ang inihayag kahapon ng Filipino world-seven division champion sa kanyang pagbisita sa Nayarit, Mexico mula sa imbitasyon ni Mexican promoter Fernando Beltran.

“Mr. Arum is my promoter and he will do everything to ensure that (Mayweather) fight is done,” sabi ng 31-anyos na si Pacquiao. “or me, I have no problem whatsoever. Arum says we will be ready to fight in November.”

Kamakailan ay sinabi ng 33-anyos na si Mayweather sa isang video clip na hindi muna siya lalaban sa loob ng isa hanggang dalawang taon para asikasuhin ang kanyang boxing gym.

Hindi naman ito pinaniwalaan ng 78-anyos na si Arum pati na ang tiyuhin ni Mayweather na si Jeff.

“I don’t think he’s going to walk away,” ani Jeff. “I think it’s just talk but you never know. I’m not in his shoes at all and with a fight of this magnitude and just getting back from a big victory it may not be the smartest thing to do but I’m not in his shoes.”

 Bago pa ito, sinabi na ni Arum na pinaplantsa na nila ng Golden Boy Promotions ang nasabing salpukan nina Manny Pacquiao at Mayweather sa Nobyembre 13 sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Sa kanyang pagbisita sa Nayarit, Mexico, pinarangalan si Pacquiao ni Gov. Ney Gonzales at ang pagbibigay kay “Pacman” ng isang jersey ng Mexican national soccer team.

 “My favorite team is Mexico,” ani Pacquiao sa Mexican squad na lalaro sa World Cup.
