2 pang batang shooters sinama sa training camp
MANILA, Philippines - Matapos malampasan ang Olympic Youth Games qualifying score, kasama ang tatlong iba pang Filipino shooters, pinagkalooban sina Jayson Valdez at Dinne Nicole Eufemio ng dalawang linggong paglahok sa training camp sa Bangkok, Thailand sa susunod na buwan.
“They deserve the trip,” ani shooting vice president at NYDP (National Youth Development Program) chair Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla hinggil sa training na ibibigay kina Valdez at Eufemio ng Asian Shooting Confederation’s Sheik Salman. “They performed creditably in the Asian Youth Games in Singapore.”
Kumulekta si Valdez, 14-anyos na mag-aaral sa Malate Catholic School ng 566 points sa 10-meter air rifle competition upang makarating sa 552 qualifying score, habang si Eufemio, 17-anyos, ay gumawa ng 385 sa women’s 10-meter rifle event umangat sa 368 qualifying score.
