PBA maglilingkod pa rin para sa national team

Bilang pagpapakita ng kagustuhan na makapag-lingkod para sa bansa, nagkasundo ang Board of Governors ng Philippine Basketball Association na agad bumuo ng committee na makikipagpulong sa officials ng BAP-Sama-hang Basketbol ng Pilipi-nas para pag-usapan ang bagong Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).

Ayon kay Tony Chua, ang chairman ng pro league, kailangang mag-karoon ng bagong kasun-duan ang dalawang aso-sasyon para makabuo ng national teams para sa kampanya ng bansa sa mga malalaking international tournaments.

“I think it’s important for both of us (PBA and BAP-SBP) to discuss about crafting a new MOA if only to maintain a smooth working relationship and avoid problem in as far as forming the national team is concerned,” ani Chua.

Inihalimbawa ni Chua ang nangyari sa PBA Philippine Cup champion Sta. Lucia Realty na hindi nakalaro sa Champions Cup due dahil sa proble-ma sa schedule.

Ang Champions Cup ay sa May 8-16 sa Kuwait na kasabay ng PBA Fiesta Cup na matatapos sa March 30.

“It would have been an honor for the league to have one of its member represent the country in the Champions Cup but the schedule of PBA Fiesta Conference got in the way,” ani Chua.
