Kinorner ng Quezon City at Lipa City ang karamihan ng gintong medalya na nakataya sa kata event ng karatedo habang nagparamdam naman ang Baguio sa athletics sa pagpapatuloy ng national championships ng 2nd Philippine Olympic Festival sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Nagreyna sina Chloe Villasis, Elsha Bertillo at Raquel Luzares sa kani-kanilang kategorya sa girls’ kata habang sinungkit naman nina   Miguel Villasis at John Cenard Cullera ang gold sa boys’ side para sa Quezon City upang manguna sa Quezon City na may limang gold at apat na silver.

Nanaig naman si Miguel Villasis sa kakamping si Bryan Besalo sa boys’ 10-11 habang naghari si Cullera sa 12-13 category makaraang magwagi kay Rainey Laudino ng Pasay City.

Sumandal ang Lipa City sa panalo nina Joy Tapero (girls’ kata 10-11), Kym Yoroshiko Torres (boys’ 8-9) at Raymund Mejico (boys’ 14-15) sa isang linggong event na hatid ng Philippine Sports Commission at suportado ng Pagcor, Globe, Accel, Asia Brewery, AMA Computer College, Negros Navigation, The Philippine Star at Creativity Lounge.

 Sumungkit naman ang Baguio City, overall champion sa Central Northern Luzon qualifying ng dalawang ginto sa track mula kina long-distance runners Ceasar Castaneto at Hernanie Sore.
