MOA para sa Tobacco-free SEA Games pipirmahan

Upang mapunan ang kakulangan sa pagho-host ng ika-23rd Southeast Asian Games, mangu-nguna ang Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) sa paglagda ng Memorandum of Agreement ng Tobacco-Free SEA Games sa Grand Boulevard Hotel.
Pangungunahan ni PSC Chairman Eric R. Buhain ang nasabing seremonya kasama ang Department of Health (DOH), World Health Organization (WHO)-Philippines, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHILSOC), ibat ibang National Sports Asso-ciations (NSAs), Frame-work Convention Alliance Philippine, Philippine Cancer Society at iba pang tobacco control non-government organizations.
Inaasahan ring dadalo sa nasabing event ang mga miyembro ng diplomatic corp. mula sa Southeast Asian region sa pangunguna ni deputy chief of mission Mecham Filykhoune ng Laos, First Secretary Vu Tien Trong ng Vietnam, First Secretary Adrian Chan ng Singapore, Second Secretary Aung Lwin ng Myanmar at Consular Assistant Claire Simbulan ng Timor-Leste.
Kakatawanin nina Dr. Jean-Marc Olive at Mr. Burke Fishbum ang WHO sa MOA signing kung saan inaasahan rin ang pagdalo nina DILG Secretary Joey Lina at DOH Secretary Manuel Dayrit kasama sina International Olympic Committee (IOC) Representative to the Philippines Francisco Elizalde.
Kasabay rin ng MOA signing, ilulunsad rin ng PSC at ng kanilang partner organizations ng Tobacco-Free 3rd ASEAN Para-Games.
