12 Pinoy jin nasa Germany

Labing-dalawang pangunahing Pinoy jins ang sasabak sa aksiyon sa 16th mens and 9th womens World Taekwondo championships simula ngayon sa Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Ang mga atleta at opisyal na tataguriang Petron Philippine Team ay sina Roberto Cruz, Tshomlee Go, Manuel Rivero Jr., Donald David Geisler, Alexander Briones, Ernesto Juan Mendoza lll, Eva Marie Ditan, Daleen Cordero, Jasmin Strachan, Mary Antoinette Rivero, Sally Solis at Veronica Domingo, Manolo Gabriel-team manager, Tae Hyung Kim at Victor Emmanuel Veneracion, mens coaches , Jesus Morales lll, womens coach at Ceasar Mateo, international referee.
Malakas ang kutob si Philippine Taekwondo Association president Robert Aventajado na malaki ang tsansa ng koponan sa torneo na humatak ng 80 bansa kabilang na ang Korea, Spain, United States, Chinese Taipei, Australia, France at Turkey.
"Our team has always been rated among the top contenders in this event," ani PTA vice-president at delegation head Sung Chon Hong. "One of our veteran competitor, Roberto Cruz, has won world championship medal many times."
Si Cruz, 6-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalists, ay humakot ng tatlong silvers (1995,1997, 1999) at bronze (2001) sa world championships.
Noong 2001 World Cup competition sa Vietnam, nasungkit naman ni Tshomlee Go ang bronze medal.
