25th Milo National Taekwondo Championships

May 1,500 taekwondo jins ang inaasahang magpapakita ng aksiyon sa 25th Milo National Taekwondo championships na hahataw sa Agosto 3 at 4 sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Ayon kay Philippine Taekwondo Association president Robert N. Aventejado, ang mga top rated jins mula sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng bansa ang mag-aagawan para sa karangalan sa anim na division-- senior men at women, junior at women at gradeschool boys at girls.

May dalawampung miyembro ng Korean demonstration team ang magpi-perform sa opening ceremony sa ala-una ng hapon sa Sabado, Agosto 3.

Ang mga paaralan at provincial chapter, kabilang na ang mula sa military branches ng Armed Forces of the Philippines ay kakatawan din sa dalawang araw ng torneo.

Ang iba pang koponang kalahok ay ang DLSU, UP, ISM, 0Ateneo, San Beda, Assumption, Don Bosco Makati, LSQC, UST, La Salle Green-hiils, UE, Letran, Paco Catholic School, St. Scholastica, DLSZ, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Zamboanga, Ilocos Sur, General Santos, Iloilo, Bacolod, Dumaguete, Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Army, Air Force, Navy, PMA, Phil. Merchant Marine Academy at PNP.

This tournament will give the players the chance to show their newly-acquired technics and skills, " ani PTA vice president Sung Chon Hong.

Ang taekwondo, na tanggap bilang regular sports disciplines sa olympics, ay nilalaro din ito sa UAAP, NCAA, SCUAA, PRADA, Palarong Pambansa, National Games, AFP Olympics at Milo Olympics.

Iniimbitahan ang lahat ng martial arts enthusiasts at sports aficionados na manood ng dalawang araw na event na ito na magsisimula sa ganap na alas-9 ng umaga.
