2005 SEAG hosting Ok na kay GMA

-

"On behalf of the Philippine Government and the Filipino people, I officially accept the hosting of the 23rd Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) in the Philippines in 2005," pahayag ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo sa kanyang liham na may petsang Marso 11, 2002 na kanyang personal na nilagdaan.

"The Philippine Government shall coordinate closely with the Philippine Olympic Committee, which is a member organization of the SEA Games Federation, to ensure that the 2002 SEA Games is held successfully to the benifit of all participating athletes in the Southeast Asian region," dagdag nito.

"This official acceptance by President Arroyo (para sa pagho-host ng 2005 SEAG) should unite the entire Filipino nation and lead to a resurgence in Philippine Sports," wika ni Dayrit.

"I welcome the Palace’s decision," ani Buhain. "Now we can start preparations to ensure that the 2005 SEA Games are held smoothly."
