DLSU bags championship plum in CIMA Global Business Challenge

Manila, Philippines--- De La Salle University emerged as the champion of this year’s Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Global Business Challenge (GBC) Philippine finals held last June 19 at the Century Park Hotel.

The team composed of students Kimberly Tanhui (IV-BSA), Camille Alejandrino (III-BSA), Ayra Mae Fernando (III-BSA), Philaine Joie De Armas (III-AE-BSA), and faculty member Mr. Florenz C. Tugas will have the privilege to represent the country in the global finals which will be held in Warsaw, Poland this August 3 to 7.

The DLSU team bested 5 other groups from different universities from all over the Philippines. A send-off party was held in their honor last July 21. DLSU President Br. Raymundo Suplido FSC Phd shared some words of encouragements for the delegates. “You all do us proud and I’m sure our students and faculty will be inspired and challenged by this achievement! We certainly wish them Godspeed and more Lasallian “Animo” as they move to the global finals as our country’s representatives.”
