MANILA, Philippines - The mayor of Markham town, Canada has signed a pact with the Parañaque government to facilitate a friendlier business atmosphere.
The memorandum of understanding between the two agreed to actively examine and evaluate opportunities to enhance the economic health in their respective communities and enterprises; keep each other informed of economic and civic issues; and assist each other in sending and receiving delegates for economic, educational and cultural purposes.
They also agree to provide information, liaison and support to businesses interested in looking into investment and business opportunities in their respective market places.
The pact was signed by Parañaque City Mayor Florencio Bernabe, Jr. and Markham town Mayor Frank Scarpitti last week.
In a statement, the city government said the agreement is “essential” in business and economic growth for the parties.
