Alaska Choco awaits triathletes at the finish line

MANILA, Philippines - In NASCAR, the tradition of drinking milk in Victory Lane began in 1936 when the first driver to win three 500-miles races requested a bottle of buttermilk upon winning. This was the inspiration for the winner-drinking-milk tradition which began in 1956 and continues today.

In the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines, Alaska Milk starts its own tradition by serving chilled Alaska Choco Milk Drink to all triathletes at the finish line. Chocolate milk drink like Alaska Choco has more than just sugar as it contains protein, fat as well as vitamins and minerals to help exhausted triathletes recover their lost energy after a gruelling 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride and 21.1 km run, all of which must be completed within a specified time.
