Alaska Milk supports Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines

MANILA, Philippines - Discipline, hard work, and determination are the fundamental values that Alaska Milk Corporation wants to instill among the youth through its sports development program. These values are the necessary attributes for success as much as good health and proper nutrition.

And there is no better way to inspire the youth in highlighting discipline, hard work and determination than in a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride and 21.1 km run. That is why Alaska Milk supports the world-class competition using the prestigious World Triathlon Corp. (WTC) brand in the Philippines, the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines.

Alaska Milk has always been known as an ardent supporter of sports development for many decades now. Having its own professional basketball team, the Alaska Aces, and extensive sports development program for the youth, the Alaska Power Camp, Alaska Milk is no stranger in espousing the advancement of potential sports where Filipinos can excel such as the triathlon.

Alaska Milk is fully committed in nurturing and inspiring the youth either through sports development programs such as the Alaska Basketball Power Camp and the long-running Alaska Football Cup or sponsorship of major international sports events such as the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines.

Alaska Milk salutes the over 500 local and international triathlon enthusiasts who will arrive in Camarines Sur to compete for the Cobra Energy Drink Ironman 70.3 Philippines. The inaugural Ironman race will be held on August 23 at the Camarines Sur Watersports Complex (CWC). Among the professional athletes entered in the event are Ironman champions Terenzo Bozzone, Cameron Brown and Chris McCormack.

Uytengsu, also the chairman of Sunrise Events, Inc. and a triathlete himself, enumerates the three major objectives for staging the event. “Firstly, we want to create a memorable experience for all triathletes,” Uytengsu said.  “The Philippines has not been a primary destination for triathlon yet we have so much to offer, we have great Filipino hospitality and beautiful attractions,” he added. “Secondly, we want to develop the sport and thirdly, we want to hold a quality event to attract the world’s top triathletes the next two years,” he said.
