Amorita Resort is the flagship property of One-Of Collection and is the leading luxury resort in Bohol that features 82 suites and 16 villas, some with stunning views of the Bohol Sea. It has two infinity pools, a gym, a dive shop, and the Sea Tree Spa. Dining facilities include Saffron Restaurant offering authentic Filipino heritage cuisine; Tomar Restaurant offering tapas, wine, and whiskey; and Turchino that serves a modern take on Italian dishes.

Amorita is an ASEAN Green Hotel and a TripAdvisor Traveler’s Choice and Hall of Fame awardee and has won “Best Service” twice in the Conde Nast Johansens Excellence Awards.

Beats (or Bohol Eats), the culinary pop-up series by Amorita Resort in collaboration with the country’s food scene icons, has been making the rounds the whole year. For the seventh installment of their Beats, chef Josh Boutwood took the unique and sumptuous flavors from his kitchens to Amorita Resort.  Josh is the owner of Helm, The Test Kitchen, and Savage in Manila. His fine-dining restaurant Helm was recently included in the prestigious 50 Discovery List of The 50 World’s Best Restaurants. Josh is listed in the international restaurant guide La Liste's 2021 awards as one of their Young Talents of the Year.

Duck Prosciutto on Toast

His one-night-only dinner was paired with cocktail mixes specially concocted by Don Papa Rum. Standouts for the night included his house-cured duck with garlic emulsion, cheese, and pickled carrots on toast; raw tuna dressed in wasabi and sesame with compressed watermelon; adlai porridge with crab fat and takla (a tiny local Bohol crustacean with the flavors of shrimp and lobster); slow-cooked wagyu beef cheek with roasted cauliflower puree and ash; and Josh’s take on Bohol’s famed dessert calamay (made of coconut milk, brown sugar, and ground glutinous rice) which he made into a mousse served with chocolate, rum, and candied pili nuts.

It was a truly wonderful dinner and I am looking forward to more Beats at Amorita Resort.

Bohol now welcomes vaccinated tourists, so it’s time to visit Amorita Resort where rates start at P5,500++ for two, inclusive of daily breakfast, round-trip airport transfers, and use of other resort amenities.

?ÓAirline event partner Cebu Pacific currently flies 12 times weekly to Bohol (Tagbilaran) from Manila. The airline intends to increase its frequency to twice daily by this month. Tumi Travel also co-sponsored the 7th Beats.
