Women of power

An exclusive luncheon for the lovely ladies from the diplomatic corps was recently hosted by the ever gracious Belo Medical Group founder and CEO Dr. Vicki Belo at her stylish home in Makati City.

The event gathered a number of ambassadors’ wives and deputy heads of mission for a day of camaraderie and bonding. Guests included Kai Wang, Sylvia Tay-Van Remoortele, Isabelle Garachon, Sameera Alkamaly,  Evelyn Farounbi, Fehmina Safdar, Gracita Sieber, Embassy of Argentina Charge d’Affaires Monica Derregibus and Embassy of Venezuela  Charge d’Affaires Yelitza Ventura Polanco among others.

The sumptuous and healthy plethora of dishes served that day perfectly complemented the overflowing drinks. After the hearty meal and delightful conversations, Dr. Belo took the opportunity to give a brief discussion about the latest and innovative procedures being offered at Belo clinics as well as which products for women are perfect to use during the summer season. And as Dr. Belo’s way of saying thank you to the guests, she gave everyone a box of the tempting Belo Beauty Chocolates that will soon be available in all her clinics.

Congratulations to Dr. Vicki Belo and her team for organizing this wonderful and enlightening affair!

A new leadership for CWC

The Catholic Women’s Club (CWC), a service organization founded in 1921, welcomed its newest president Tessie Amparo.

The intimate ceremony started with a solemn Mass officiated by Bishop Emeritus Raul Martirez at the Santuario de San Antonio Parish in Forbes Park, Makati City.

After the Mass, immediate past president Maritess Pineda led the induction and handed over the CWC banner to the newly elected president, symbolizing the formal turnover of the organization’s leadership and duties. A celebratory brunch was then held at the Parish Center where the members, all dressed in white, gave their well-wishes and promised their support to CWC’s 93rd president.

More power to president Tessie Amparo and the entire Catholic Women’s Club!
