Regenerative medicine may prove to be the future of medical science. With this in mind, EA Regenerative Medicine Center of Excellence recently launched its cutting-edge facility in Makati City.
The event kicked off with guests being treated to an audio-visual presentation that offered insights on what the center offers and how the technology works.
The evening’s proceedings were ably hosted by Tessa Prieto-Valdes with keynote speakers that included cosmetic surgeon Dr. Eder Dizon, the facility’s managing director and Dr. Marc Hedrick, president of Cytori Therapeutics USA, the company responsible for the breakthrough technology utilized by the center.
EA is a multi-specialty regenerative medicine center. Board-certified medical specialists will evaluate and plan the specific treatments based on the patients’ indications. Then they follow up on their clients’ progress. The facility allows these medical specialists to deliver cells locally, intravascularly or directly into organs or systems to treat the underlying conditions using Ethics Review Committee-approved clinical protocols and global registries.
EA Regenerative Medicine Center of Excellence also offers the first and only StemSource Cell Bank in the Philippines and Southeast Asia that can cryopreserve Adult Adipose-Derived Regenerative Cells (ADRCs) and fat tissue for its patients for future use as a form of Bio Insurance.
The facility is the first in the country and Southeast Asia to offer the most advanced regenerative medical procedures utilizing state-of-the-art processing, delivery and preservation of medical-grade ADRCs that follow the most stringent clinical protocols, registries and standards of operations. Adipose tissue is considered the richest source of regenerative cells in the body. These cells are comprised of a mixed population of cells, which are collectively referred to as ADRCs. The mixed nature of ADRCs is believed to contribute to the healing process.

It was a night of celebrating women’s confidence and their power to influence when Tupperware Brands Philippines held its awarding ceremonies of the five “Women of Confidence†at the OZ Bar of Holiday Inn Suites in Makati City. The awardees are female heroes who embody Filipina pride and strength. They are women who make a difference in the lives of others.
The program was hosted by Tupperware Brands brand manager for cosmetics Kriska Ramos who introduced this year’s new set of heroines. They are community leader Remedios Baclea-an, determined graduate Dolores Ilagan, multi-tasking lawyer Jannell Gerodiaz and independent mothers Ma. Ana Castro and Mary Jane Martirez.
Tupperware Brands Philippines president and general manager Perry Mogar congratulated the winners and expressed his gratitude to all the supporters of this campaign. Marketing director Rico Santos said, “On our second year, we’ve once again found more inspiring stories of confidence. These stories highlight the remarkable abilities of women in various households and communities. This campaign encourages every woman to have this particular mindset: ‘Confidence begins with me’.â€
