92 years of caring & sharing

The Main Lounge of the Manila Polo Club was in a flurry of activities as the Catholic Women’s Club (CWC) celebrated its 92nd anniversary with its annual formal fundraiser organized by CWC chairman Tessie Amparo and president Maritess Pineda.

The dance festival featured a Carnival de Alegria theme reflecting the CWC members’ tremendous verve and passion for worthy causes for their many beneficiaries. Wearing jewel-colored gowns, the CWC ladies surprised the audience with their lively dance parade in various Rio de Janeiro carnival regalia. A duet by Jack Salud and Aliana Neri of The Prayer was one of the many highlights of the evening.

Ballroom dancing by the CWC members and their VIP guests lasted through the night.

More power to CWC, its chairman Tessie Amparo and president Maritess Pineda!

A night of music for Visayas

Doing its share of helping the survivors of the Bohol earthquake and Super Typhoon Yolanda is The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts (BH&R). Headed by its brilliant chairman Johnny Chan, together with managing director Patrick Chan, marketing and communications corporate director Ryan Chan and deputy general manager Dustin Chan, the BH&R recently organized a benefit concert entitled #StayStrongPH.

The fundraising show was held at The Bellevue Manila’s top-notch entertainment spot Vue Bar and featured the multi-awarded OPM band Side A back-to-back with one of Manila’s promising club acts, Milan. All the guests were treated to a spectacular show as both bands gave powerful performances that truly electrified the crowd.

All proceeds of the concert were donated to the Philippine Red Cross for its continuous relief operations in the Visayas region.

Kudos to Johnny Chan and the entire BH&R team for organizing this worthwhile event!
