An afternoon of fun & giving

Singing and dancing filled the afternoon of the Little Sisters of the Abandoned Elderly residents in San Juan City as they welcomed Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales for Pharex Health Corp.’s outreach activity.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebration, Pharex donated maintenance medicines for hypertension and diabetes for the shelter’s residents. The donation was graciously received by Mother Superior Celia Fociños.

Pharex president and CEO Tomas Marcelo Agana III said, “At Pharex, we take pride in pioneering uni-branded generic medicines so that even the poor and disadvantaged can ensure their well-being. We are happy to continue that tradition, and hope that our contribution will help promote the health of our beloved lolas at the shelter.”

Pilita regaled the residents with her timeless hits like Kapantay ay Langit and Dahil Sa ‘Yo. When she did a spontaneous rendition of Besame Mucho, she was joined on stage by Sister Fatima Benito and the Mother Superior.

The residents, who enjoyed the fun games and sing-along sessions with the Queen of Songs, also performed for the guests.
